About Ascher
Inspired by nature from a very young age, I grew up knowing I would always be involved with a job where I could work outdoors. My passion for ‘plants’ you could say, began in Margaret River, W.A as a Viticulture student where I would spend my time learning how to graft and grow grape vines. After several years of Viticulture I decided that I wanted to learn more about plants, not just grape varieties.
This decision took me up to Broome, in the Kimberley Region, to study Horticulture in the northern climate. Here I became so absorbed with the lush tropical landscapes that Broome provides, I knew I wanted to create this sort of natural beauty in people’s gardens because essentially, it’s all about outdoor living in Australia!
Now based in Perth and having worked in nurseries, as a landscaper and now Landscape designer in different regions throughout Western Australia, over the years I have developed an insight and an understanding through all of my landscaping projects, using a combination of instinct and imagination.
I am able to understand and recommend products and technologies available for my clients. I can also advise them on all aspects of design including site levels and retaining, decking, paving, reticulation, lighting, water features, turf & of course plant selection.
Taking into account all the elements and putting both my client’s and my own ideas together, gives me the enjoyment & opportunity of visualising a design to meet their lifestyle, budget and of course, their satisfaction!
